The full November price list
| Fuel | October (Dh/litre) | November (Dh/litre) | Change |
|---|---|---|---|
| Super 98 | 4.40 | 4.16 | −24 fils |
| Special 95 | 4.28 | 4.04 | −24 fils |
| E-Plus 91 | 4.21 | 3.97 | −24 fils |
| Diesel | 4.80 | 4.75 | −5 fils |

What a full tank costs now
GlobeHourly worked out the cost of filling three common tank sizes at the new rates:
| Tank size | Super 98 | Special 95 | E-Plus 91 | Saving on October |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 51 litres (compact) | Dh212.16 | Dh206.04 | Dh202.47 | Dh12.24 |
| 62 litres (sedan) | Dh257.92 | Dh250.48 | Dh246.14 | Dh14.88 |
| 74 litres (SUV) | Dh307.84 | Dh298.96 | Dh293.78 | Dh17.76 |
A driver who fills a 62-litre tank once a week saves about Dh60 over the month. Delivery riders and others who fill up more often, many of them workers from Pakistan, India and Bangladesh, save proportionally more. Diesel users get little relief, and with diesel still Dh0.59 above Super 98's price per litre, trucking and delivery costs are unlikely to ease much.
Why prices fell while the Gulf is still tense
The cut looks odd against the news. Ships are still being attacked around the Strait of Hormuz, and October was the worst month yet for such incidents. But the UAE's monthly price follows the average global oil price over the previous month, plus distribution companies' operating costs. That formula is a look backwards, and it does not react to a single day's headlines.
Diesel's far smaller cut reflects a tight world market in that fuel, which has lifted oil refiners' profits this year. Pakistan's own diesel price has also been under pressure for the same reason.
How this compares with earlier in the war
UAE prices have swung repeatedly since the US-Iran war began. Four straight monthly increases gave way to a cut in July, then three more rises took Super 98 to Dh4.40 in October. For scale, the UAE's previous record came in 2022 after Russia invaded Ukraine, when petrol passed Dh4 a litre for the first time.
What changes at the pump in Dubai on Sunday
The new prices apply at all stations from midnight on November 1. Drivers in Dubai should also plan around the road closures for Dubai Ride 2026 on Sunday, which shut three major roads for more than six hours, according to the city's Roads and Transport Authority. The committee will announce December prices at the end of November.
